The hotel has no Jacuzzi and Swimming Pool, but the hotel has excellent outdoor geothermal hot tub.
Gps of the hotel are erroneous! The hotel has no Jacuzzi and Swimming Pool. It facilities a SPA-complex near to hotel. Very expensively also works till 17:00. There is no kitchen. There are no numbers for smokers.

it could be ok for stop-over for one day if not arriving too late
beds are not comfortable, swimming pool closing relatively early and opening late, hotel is away from any shop (cca 20km to the nearest one) so after closing of restaurant there is no possibility to find anything to eat near the hotel

The chef created real jems in the restaurant!
Some parts of hotel could use a little paint, etc.

Location in the middle of nature
Rooms (without own badroom) are old and outdated. Hotel is during wintertime a school and only open during summer. Hotelrooms are normally for the students. Restaurant is too expensive for what it delivers. There is no other restaurant closeby.

Very nice room with clean bathroom. Free wireless. Good location in the NW part of Iceland on N1. Staff very kind and valid for answering to any requested information.
Difficult to find as it is 15 km from the main village and not clearly indicated on the road (we expected to find a yellow flag of EDDA Hotels on the road and not a blue signal)

Have stayed there earlier, would stay there again; very kind and helpful staff, somewhat basic rooms so you won't go there to experience the hotel night of your life, but well placed for an overnight stop en route to or from Reykjavik.
On this occasion, the (shared) shower was a bit sloppy, primarily some guest must have been unaware of protocol when facilities are shared, but the hotel also needs to check whether drains are clogged.

Young man at the reception was very friendly.
Extremely noisy, slamming doors make a lot of noise, hardly slept at all! You have to pay extra for breakfast (about € 10 per person)

The reception area looks nice, but everything further is less well equipped...
The hotel/school is very old, looks very used and there is zero comfort; the restaurant enclosed had the worst waiters; there was this really bad smell coming from the wash bassins; the whole house is very loud, you can hear doors smashing just because of the constructions of the rooms & doors

The swimming pool (which isn't part of the hotel but is accessible to guests for a small fee) was great! The kids enjoyed it a lot!
Small rooms. Remote location

Wonderful natural hot tub. Pleasant newly built lounge area. All otherwise satisfactory but it is in a boarding school, and that is evident.
Although not expensive for Iceland, we felt this hotel was somewhat overpriced for what it provided, especially the dinner.
